David has been involved with FM-CFS Canada since its early days, helping in many ways, now as Chairman. He contributes a significant amount of time and resources to the cause, a leader of a strong and growing team.
David Mann retired in October 2001 from Nortel Networks, where he was their
Vice President of Emerging Business Technology Investments. He worked
almost forty years in telecommunications for numerous multinational companies
and served on numerous Boards. In 1989, David received the Queen's
Award for technical innovation.
David is a Fellow of the IEE, a Chartered Electrical Engineer, and Senior IEEE Member. A former chairman of the Ottawa Centre for Research and Innovation and
now a Vice President of the Canadian Academy for the Advancement of Science (CAAS).
