Dr. Napke has been involved in various ways with FM-CFS Canada since the inception.
Ed Napke, MD, D PH, 1963, one of two medical officers responsible for the
Government’s medical review of investigative new drug submissions from the
pharmaceutical industry. Later initiated, developed and expanded the Canadian
Drug Adverse Reaction Reporting Program, later integrated with the National
Poison Control Program and various other adverse reaction reporting programs.
In 1976, as President of the Non-Smokers Association, brought in the "Non-
Smoking in Public Places By-laws" in Ottawa, Canada.
Since 1990, he has been
a volunteer consultant to the WHO's Uppsala Monitoring Centre, reviewing the
results of the regular screenings of ADR reports within the System Organ Classes.
