FM-CFS CANADA Internet Video Presence
In 2009 FM-CFS Canada took a hard look at the delivery of material through our and others websites for use by our served public. It became very obvious to us that there is just an overwhelming amount of textual and narrative material, often conflicting and sometimes confusing. We considered simplifying or eliminating much of the material from our own website but we knew from the record of pages being visited that we could not do this without causing some loss to our audience.
We chose instead not to add more and more textual material unless we were certain of its validity and source.
Importantly, we decided to see if we could make short videos, which could convey much of the education, insight, and encouragement that the older documents tried to do. New computer technology and faster Internet speeds had made this possible along with the availability of good quality High Definition video cameras.
On this page you will see the results of three years of work that has been done by FM-CFS Canada volunteers along with Mr. James Blondeau, an Ottawa based documentary maker.
You will see some longer videos of five or six minutes but you will also see what we call “QuickClips”. These are questions and answers to many of the questions that you may have as patients, caregivers or practitioners. We have made video interviews with representatives form all three groups and have tried to present them in a clear and well-articulated way. As we progress from here we will add interview material from more practitioners of different areas of expertise. If there are questions that we don’t address please fire off an e-mail to us via our contact us page and we will try to get answers to as much as we can.
